TREBLE
CHOIR DIRECTOR NOTES
The
White River Treble Choir recently participated in a joint project with the
Ball State
University
Opera Department. This project involved creating an educational
videotape for
use
with the Outreach opera.
Members
of the White River Treble Choir went to the Ball State University Teleplex to
participate
in video and audio taping. Their work will be edited (along with pieces
of a recent
opera
production of "Fledermaus") to create a 10-15 minute video. This
video will be shown
at
area schools before the opera department comes to present its version of
"Jack and the
Beanstalk"
When
members of the opera department present their outreach opera, it is hoped that
the
students
will understand the process of creating an opera better because they've seen
this
video.
Dr. Fred Burrack, Dr. Craig Priebe and Ms. Maltas are working to create a
survey
that
will measure student response to the opera experience. This will help to
determine
whether
the videotape helps students to learn better.
Members
of the Treble Choir and their parents are invited to an open dress rehearsal
of
"Jack
in the Beanstalk" at the end of March. The videotape will be
premiered on that
evening.
Notes will be sent home when the final date is determined.
CLUB’S
CHOICE FOODS FUNDRAISER
The
spring fundraiser for WRYC started the last Monday in February (2/23) and ALL
ORDERS
are due TODAY, MONDAY, MARCH 8TH.
Singers
MUST sell FIVE ITEMS OR
DONATE
$25.00. Please do no mix product
and donation together.
PRODUCT
DELIVERY IS APRIL 5TH. Product may be picked up in the MCA Parking
lot
from
5-7:15 PM on that Monday.

Absences
This
is just a reminder once again that if your singer(s) will NOT be at rehearsal

to
contact Billie Stewart by phone or email. There have been a large amount of
absences
since
starting up in January and many of these have NOT been reported to Billie. You
may
contact

Second
Semester Payments NOW Due
In
January, you may have received billing statements came from our Treasurer,
Keith
Greenwalt,
that reflected what you owed for last semester’s tuition and/or for greenery
sales
(donation
or sales). It is now time
to pay for the second semester tuition for White
River
Youth Choir.
Please try to pay this money ASAP to me, Joyce Horst.
Checks are
made
payable to “White River Youth Choir”.
Your singer(s) may give me the check when
they
come to rehearsal or mail it to: 3000
West University Ave., Muncie 47304.
I am
generally
at the rehearsals from 6:00 PM to 8:15 PM. Please be prompt so that we are
able
to
meet the financial needs of this organization.

There will be no WRYC
rehearsal on Monday, March 22nd because of Spring Break for Muncie
Community Schools and outlaying areas. Those connected with Burris and have
Spring Break a week earlier will receive an excused absence on Monday, March
14th.
